In my recent role as Java Engineer at Goldman Sachs, I worked for migrating a mission-critical internal application from Elasticsearch to PostgreSQL by designing relational schemas, analysing index data, and implementing migration scripts, developing the logic with fallback mechanisms to ensure a seamless transition and testing thoroughly. This involved integrating PostgreSQL into existing APIs using runtime flags to enable safe rollouts across environments without disrupting business logic. I also enhanced observability by setting up Grafana dashboards and Prometheus alerts writing promQL queries, led successful production deployments, and maintained clear developer-focused documentation in Confluence. To strengthen application security, I managed SSL certificate generation using Terraform and implemented secure secret handling using HashiCorp Vault. Also worked with many other different technologies as part of this process like Kafka, NGINX, FTL, Fluentbit, Big Query etc, and have good understanding of OAuth2.0 flow, OpenID connect and TLS flow. As a Senior Software Engineer at Infosys Limited, I have had the opportunity to design and implement microservices that significantly improved API response time and server load. My proficiency in Java 11 and Spring Boot, coupled with my experience in utilizing Kibana for comprehensive logging, detailed analysis, precise filtering, and efficient debugging of issues within the distributed microservices environment, has enabled me to deliver high- quality and high-performance solutions that meet stringent business requirements. I have also honed my skills in applying SOLID principles, ensuring code quality through TDD, and achieving over 90% code coverage with JUnit and Mockito. My technical expertise is complemented by my ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Additionally, I posses AWS Cloud Practitioner certification and AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification by Infosys, which equipped me with a deep understanding of AWS services.
