About Ine Decuyper
Growing up I've always been fascinated with human resilience and what's to learn from different cultures and nations in life. I chose a path as a medical doctor to work with people and to have a positive impact in society, wherever my path would bring me. I trained in Belgium, The Netherlands, Canada and had overseas experiences in Surinam and Myanmar. A training in research seemed a natural complement to clinical work, which I did through a PhD in Allergy and Immunology. Currently I combine a clinical position as a paediatrician focussed on Infectious Diseases & Allergy in the heart of multicultural Antwerp together with two parttime research positions: postdoc activities at the Unit of Tuberculosis (Institute of Tropical Medicine) and co-chair of the Antwerp Pediatric Clinical Trial Network (University of Antwerp).
