About Ines Lezama

With over 20 years of experience in international organizations, I am a passionate nutrition professional who provides strategic leadership and coordination for nutrition cluster activities and partners at UNICEF. My mission is to improve the nutritional status and well-being of children and communities in humanitarian and development contexts. I have a strong background in clinical nutrition, health policy and financing, and project management, which enables me to deliver high-quality technical assistance, comprehensive analysis, and evidence-based solutions. I have successfully managed large-scale projects, working with a wide range of stakeholders and overcoming challenges in difficult environments. Some of my achievements include increasing the coverage and quality of nutrition interventions in Togo, Mauritania, Cameroon, and DRC, facilitating the development of national nutrition policies and guidelines in Angola and Nicaragua, and supporting the scale-up of emergency nutrition response in Niger and Ethiopia. I have pursued a postgraduate course in health economics to enhance my skills and knowledge in this field.
