About Inga Ingulfsen

Researcher and project manager passionate about strengthening local ownership in development. I have extensive experience with directing and implementing complex applied research and capacity building projects focused on a variety of issue areas and geographies. Core competencies are research and analysis, project management, public speaking, and facilitation. My research and work is focused on trends and approaches in foundation funding for human rights and peace ans security, and strengthening local ownership, participation, transparency, and accountability in peacebuilding and development. My research experience ranges from analyzing gendered anti-immigrant rhetoric on Twitter, to mapping the global policy landscape on conflict-related sexual violence, to examining conflict sensitivity and participation in regional refugee response frameworks for the Middle East and North Africa, to exploring the role of funders in facilitating financial sustainability of CSOs across different contexts or modeling the factors driving organization's involvement in peacebuilding. I hold an M.Sc. in Global Affairs from New York University, with a concentration in Peacebuilding and a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Oslo, with a focus on international history.
