About Inge Dekker
Through inter- and transdisciplinary research, I aim to discover a diversity of stories, values and ontological understandings of this supposedly 'one' thing we call nature, and to find ways to navigate this plurality of lifeworlds. Currently I am doing research on the emerging interactions between beavers and humans in three small (1 km2) areas in The Netherlands. How and to what extent are beavers becoming part of daily life and the landscapes? I aim to understand how beaver activities regularly challenge cultural categories and boundaries, and the negotiation processes that follow. Do you feel like connecting or sharing information?
