Ingmar is one of the leading barristers in Australia in industrial and employment law. As silk, he leads a group of brilliant young barristers at Greenway Chambers who specialise in the area. Ingmar is listed by Doyles Guide as one of the top 6 Senior Counsel in Australia in employment, industrial relations and workplace safety matters. He is similarly listed as 'preeminent' by Doyle's for both NSW Employment Senior Counsel and NSW WHS Senior Counsel. Ingmar also has a substantial practice in work, health and safety prosecutions, particularly matters arising from workplace fatalities. Ingmar is briefed by large employers, unions and government in complex cases concerning employment disputes and industrial relations. In recent years, Ingmar has acted for a variety of unions (including AMWU, APESMA, AWU, IEU, MUE and RTBU), large and small employers (including BlueScope, ClubsNSW, NRL, Pharmacy Guild of Australia, UNSW, Westpac and Woolworths) and the NSW Government. Ingmar accepts briefs directly from in-house counsel. Ingmar has been the Editor of the Industrial Reports since 1998 and was the Chair of the Law Council of Australia’s Industrial Law Committee from 2012-2022. He is a member of the Bar Council Executive and a Director of the Law Council of Australia.
