I’m a seasoned AI and NLP specialist with deep expertise in building domain-specific solutions for the legal industry. With a PhD background (thesis currently in review) in Legal AI from TU Munich and over a decade of experience across academia, startups, and enterprise tech, I develop practical, language-based tools that bring real value to legal professionals. As Co-Founder of Hephaistos Software GmbH, I led the development of an AI-powered Word Add-in that supported M&A lawyers in drafting Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs). Our tool automated definition extraction and clause-level analysis, translating complex legal workflows into usable software. Today, I serve as Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead for Weblaw Germany and Lawdocs, where I design and implement intelligent legal tech systems, including a RAG-based legal search engine and drafting assistants powered by LLMs. Beyond engineering, I work closely with legal professionals, product teams, and publishers to understand their workflows and pain points. I translate those insights into AI-backed solutions, leading development initiatives that are both technically robust and domain-aligned. In parallel, I offer freelance AI consulting for legal publishers and law firms, helping them adopt and adapt LLMs and other NLP systems to fit their domain-specific needs.
