About Ingrid Ashida

I design AI systems that support disaster recovery—locally controlled, privacy-first, and built for communities navigating crisis. At EFSN, I lead data and AI strategy for one of LA’s largest wildfire survivor communities. I built our in-house LLM pipelines and privacy-first workflows to analyze thousands of survivor conversations—powering community-facing Q & As, stakeholder communication, and advocacy enhanced by NLP insights. I started in technical marketing and early-stage product work, helping founders turn complex ideas into clear narratives and user-facing experiences. That path—between user-facing clarity and technical build—still defines how I work today. I care deeply about building tech that holds up under pressure, respects context, and serves real people.
