Passionate about all forms of Cultural Heritage - Cultural Heritage and Museum Advocate with international experience Current board member for ICOM Colombia, the national committee for the International Council of Museums. Experience of Cultural heritage management & Museum Planning and Leading at MURO Ingrid Frederick Obregón is a conservator of movable cultural heritage from the Universidad Externado (Colombia) with a M.A. in World Heritage Studies from the BTU-Cottbus University in Germany. Ingrid has experience in cultural heritage and cultural diplomacy, with strong communication, networking and partnership-building skills. Between 2012-2015 she worked in collections management of the largest art museum in Colombia run by the Banco de la República. She worked in the re-installation project of the permanent galleries at the Museo de Arte Miguel Urrutia, international exhibits, and travel commissions for international alliances. Between 2014 and 2020, she worked ad-honorem in the communications and partnership-building strategies of the non-profit organization APOYOnline Association for Heritage Preservation of the Americas, co-organizing international conferences aiming at promoting the professional development and exchange of cultural heritage professionals in the region of Latin America and the Caribbean and North America, identifying and securing strategic partners for capacity-building, professional networking and communications among heritage institutions and professionals, and participating in a culturally diverse and billingüal team. She was a consultant at UNESCO's World Heritage Centre at the Headquarters in Paris in 2018, responsible for communications between the Secretariat, State Parties and Advisory Bodies (ICOMOS, ICCROM) in a cluster of 5 countries, and in the monitoring of World Heritage sites in Germany, UK, Ireland, Spain and Portugal in the framework of the World Heritage Convention. She been the lecturer in charge of the Course in International Cultural Heritage under the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s program at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne between 2017 and 2018, where she covered UNESCO Cultural Conventions directed towards international students from the 5 continents. Since 2019, Ingrid works as a museologist at the Museo de la Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá), in heritage management, including planning and finding resources and alliances for cultural heritage education and research projects, and creating interpretation and communication strategies, leading a small team comprised mainly of students.
