I have over 20 years of experience in communications and marketing. I’ve helped launch a capital campaign, rebrand programs, and increase brand equity. I’ve had the pleasure of building short-term and long-term strategies. I love the non-profit world. Making a difference matters to me. Here are some insights about me: • I am a problem solver. I cannot stand barriers, so I like to break them down bit by bit. • I’ve been called a sponge. I hear, absorb, and apply. I love putting into practice what I learn and never want to stop learning. The world of marketing is ever changing, and knowledge is power (or confidence). I believe this approach is also critical in my role as a part-time professor in the faculty of Media and Design at Algonquin College and as a Masters student at the University of Salford. • I love taking data and turning it into insights. From simple analysis to more complex research findings; insights drive strategy and ongoing measurement drives success. I love working with different audience segments and customizing content and messaging. I love seeing what sticks and get really excited, and proud, when my assumptions ring true. • I find great pleasure in taking something that worked quite well and making it even better. From events, to rebrands, to revenue streams – there’s always room for improvement. I also surround myself with brilliant minds that can brainstorm the heck out of an idea. • I love learning new things. Not just from books or professional development, but also from my team and colleagues. They are rock stars and I’m better because of them.
