As Vice President of Governance Risk Management & Compliance team at NBCUniversal, my mission is anchored in reducing Cybersecurity risk and creating a risk aware cyber-savvy culture. Our team excels in safeguarding the company's assets by focusing on awareness and training; policies and controls; supplier security reviews; PCI, SOX, SOC2, UAR and IT general controls reviews and consultations. As the second line of defense for the company, we do a significant amount of consulting with business teams to ensure that they understand controls, how to monitor controls and evidence them. My experience combined with a collaborative leadership style, has been instrumental in developing relationships that foster information sharing. These efforts have contributed significantly to operational excellence and risk mitigation within our organization. To successfully achieve the objectives for GRC, the key skills I use everyday are: team leadership, risk management, cyber security, data analysis, issue management, root cause analysis, PCI, networking, corrective actions, program management, vendor assessment, tracking, reporting and innovation.
