About Inoru Morris

As a Ph.D student, the focus of my research agenda within Public Affairs and Administration is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of marginalized communities with our public institutions. More specifically, I am investigating policies, practices, and programs utilized by Midwestern law enforcement agencies to build trust with Queer victims of violent hate crimes, rape, and sexual assault. In addition I am the founder of the Midwest Rainbow Research Institute, a nonprofit organization that operates in the Midwest providing comprehensive training programs for out public agencies and producing peer reviewed publications on issues and affairs affecting the LGBTQ+ community. Dedicated policy scholar and analyst with 7 years of experience advising public organizations throughout the Midwest. Eager to institutionalize equity, alongside efficiency, and economy within our public serving organizations and the policies they craft and implement. The interconnected nature of our contemporary society calls us to ingrain equity as public value. It is only through this practice that we create stronger performing organizations and resilient communities.
