INSTRUCT was originally conceived as ”Centre of Awareness in Construction and Engineering"(CACE) during October 1989 by few like minded, dedicated professionals to provide vocational training to grass root level and middle level managers in the construction TRADES and management. In December 1993, it was registered as “RICMAR” under Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act. In 1997, it is named as INSTRUCT. INSTRUCT specializes in designing and conducting training programmes from the workers level to management level such as: • Geo-technical Engineering, Foundation problems, sub surface investigation and testing • Design of Concrete, Steel & Composite Structures • Cracks and Leakages in Civil engineering structure • Repair, Rehabilitation & Retrofitting of Structures in Distress Building • Design & construction of Earth Quake resistant structures • Construction & Maintenance of Roads & Highways • Hazards in High rise structure and Preventive measures • Safety, Health & Environment in Construction • Modern Construction chemicals in concrete structure • Building Services: Fire Fighting, HAVC, Electrical, Plumbing • Site Selection, DPR preparation and design of Bridges and other allied subjects • Usage of Lab Equipments and Laboratory investigations on Stabilized Soil for Pavements • Surveying with Total Station & GPS and other allied topics along with Road Safety Audits. • Contract Management and other allied topics. • Bridges, culverts – planning and execution. INSTRUCT has so far completed more than 1100 programmes and trained nearly construction staff. INSTRUCT has around 400 Individual members and more than 25 Corporate/Institutional members. INSTRUCT is an NGO, which is Not for Profit Institute and mainly runs based on the training programmes conducted and also on the membership fees.
