About Ioan Hedea

I am a Software Engineer at Exact and an MSc student in Data Science & AI at TU Delft. My work combines applied machine learning, large-scale software engineering, and quantitative optimization. At Exact, I contribute to the Exact Online Assistant AI, bringing intelligent automation into a SaaS platform used by thousands of businesses. Previously, at Crowe Peak, I designed core components of Evolve-Audit, developed fraud detection tools, and built algorithmic scheduling solutions to optimize audit team planning. Academically, I hold a BSc in Computer Science & Engineering from TU Delft with a Finance minor, and my MSc coursework covers machine learning, optimization, and computational finance. I have also published research on dynamic scheduling and temporal networks, focusing on improving deadline feasibility and responsiveness in digital factories. I thrive at the intersection of software, AI, and quantitative methods — building intelligent systems, optimizing workflows, and applying mathematical models to complex problems. I’m eager to continue bridging applied research with impactful industry applications.
