About Ion Garstea

Passionate about anything compute-related. Having a continuous improvement mindset, it comes naturally to me to find ways of getting things done through technology. Enjoying working in the Information Technology, being involved in projects that solve actual business problems. Lucky to learn something valuable from my co-workers and customers every day. Lucky to work in an organization that supported my career development plan during all these years. I had the chance to earn multiple certifications, including ITIL, TOGAF, IT4IT, Oracle Cloud Architect Associate/Professional; take part in many instructor-led classes (CCNA, Cloud Foundation, CCSK, CCSP, just to name a few) and various business-related ones. Coming from a family of a teacher and an electrical engineer, I pursued a degree in Microelectronics, which cultivated in me the desire to submerse myself and make sense out of complicated stuff, trying to truly understand what’s happening beneath the surface. I love to teach complex technical aspects to non-technical audience. I also enjoy playing with my small home lab setup, TrueNAS (zfs-based) and pfSense (Next-Gen Firewall).*All views are my own and not that of Oracle*
