About Ion Powell
When I was faced with the choice of which engineering degree to pursue, I chose Materials Science & Engineering because of my passion for learning about the nature of our universe and progressing humanity’s scientific knowledge. It brings me great joy to bring this knowledge to others, storytelling and education is as old as our society and is ingrained into all of us. In my free time I work with other talented individuals to create stories through filmmaking. My experience in both filmmaking and my Master’s in Science of Business degree has given me critical experience in networking and managing groups of people to work together for a larger purpose. I enjoy finding concise and digestible ways to communicate complicated concepts so that my target audience can paint a picture in their heads of science, business, or art.
