I’m a technology leader and architect passionate about transforming how financial institutions design, build, and deliver digital services. With over 18 years of experience in banking technology — from software development to leading architecture at ING — I’ve seen how thoughtful design, automation, and continuous delivery can turn complexity into speed, resilience, and agility. As Chief Architect at ING Bank Romania, I lead architecture strategy and modernization initiatives that enable scalable, secure, and cloud-ready banking platforms. My focus is on simplifying architectures, aligning technology with business value, and building engineering cultures that embrace DevOps and automation. Today, the banking industry stands at the edge of an even greater transformation — driven by AI and Generative AI. These technologies are reshaping how banks operate, automate, and engage with customers. I’m deeply interested in how architectural patterns, data ecosystems, and governance models must evolve to responsibly integrate AI across the enterprise — from decision automation to personalized, conversational customer experiences. I believe technology leadership means more than designing systems — it’s about designing organizations that can evolve continuously. That’s why I’m passionate about mentoring teams, fostering cross-domain collaboration, and connecting architecture decisions to strategic business outcomes. My current journey includes pursuing an Executive MBA to strengthen the link between business strategy and technology execution. Looking ahead, I aim to shape architecture and technology strategy at a regional or group level — helping large organizations leverage cloud, automation, and AI to accelerate digital transformation and innovate responsibly.
