About Ipek Yucel

With over ten years of legal experience in different sectors and countries, I am a passionate and skilled in-house counsel at Tadım, a leading producer and distributor of nuts and dried fruits in Turkey. I provide legal advice and support to Tadım's management and business units on various matters, such as contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and litigation. I also leverage my expertise in human rights law to ensure that Tadım's operations and activities are aligned with the principles of social and environmental responsibility and sustainability. Prior to joining Tadım, I worked as a legal fellow at Refugee Solidarity Network, a global network of organizations that advocate for the rights and protection of refugees and asylum seekers. There, I contributed to the development and implementation of legal empowerment programs and strategic litigation initiatives in Turkey and the region. I also have experience as a legal consultant at Refugee Rights Turkey and as a legal advisor at Human Resource Development Foundation, where I provided legal counseling and representation to refugees and asylum seekers on various issues, such as international protection, access to services, and family reunification. I hold a Master of Laws degree from Cornell University and a Master of Laws degree in Human Rights Law from Istanbul Bilgi University. I am proficient in human rights law, and legal counseling. I am motivated by the vision of creating a more just and equitable world, and I enjoy working with diverse and collaborative teams that share this mission.
