Background

About Ira Haller

Having lived, worked and studied in Germany, Italy and Canada, I am a trained art historian with working experience in different fields ranging from cultural and project management, museum related art education at some of the biggest and renowned art museums in Germany and abroad as well as editorial work in a publishing house.Due to my interest in arts and culture, I currently work in the culture department of the Jewish Community Center in Frankfurt, where I develop, manage and organize different projects (large and small scale cultural events and festivals, exhibition projects, etc.) in order to make the facets of Jewish culture not only visible but also easily accessible and approachable for everyone who is interested in broadening their horizon. My background in the Humanities has helped me obtain a critical mindset towards fact-related content and its reliability, a problem-solving approach to complex matters of any sort as well as it has amplified my enthusiasm for other cultures and languages. As a result, I have a strong interest to work with people in order to create synergies, strengthen intercultural relations, as well as advance interests and knowledge through event experiences and educational practices. I am always eager to tap into new disciplines, broaden my knowledge and improve my skills, so I can assist others at best.
