About Irene Obrien

As a regular fashion presenter on Irish lifestyle programme RTE Today, and a contributing style and Vintage fashion expert for radio and print, I take an enthusiastic, colourful and rule-free approach to style 'advice'. I have styled editorial shoots, commercial campaigns, advertisements, short films, brand ambassadors, celebrity features, catwalk fashion shows, on-street fashion festival shows, social media features and an array of unique jobs around the country. I also regularly present fashion videos on behalf of clients, and MC live style and lifestyle events. Many of my clients have worked with me for a number of years, continuing to build on the trust and relationships we have cultivated over previous successful projects. With over a decade's experience, I believe that authenticity is key to having fun with fashion, and so endeavour to encourage viewers, readers, listeners and personal clients alike to celebrate who it is they are today by wearing clothes they truly love, in the way that makes them feel the absolute best version of themselves. Clients that I have filmed segments and/ or styled campaigns on behalf of include Brown Thomas, Kilkenny Shop, Littlewoods, The Zip Yard, Kildare Village, Carousel, Ilac Centre, Home Store and More, Oxfam Vintage, Carousel and BT Shop for Change. My interest in Vintage fashion has made me passionate about sustainability and purposeful acquisition of clothing. I am an advocate of clothing care and mending for longevity, investment in future collectables, educating on repurposing existing collections, and sustainable shopping practices. I regularly consult for brands and personal clients in the corporate, charity and private sectors, offering guidance on fashion and interiors style. In 2023 I am continuing to develop TV style features, with a specific focus on Vintage, Ethical and Sustainable Fashion. I love collaborating with brands, teams and individuals on their corporate, media or personal projects, and welcome the opportunity to share my creative input into your next exciting venture.
