Background

About Irene W.

My journey in early intervention/special education has equipped me with strong interpersonal and communication skills. It's taught me the importance of empathy, active listening, and understanding individual needs – soft skills that undoubtedly invaluable. Collaborating with diverse families and professionals has fostered my adaptability and teamwork, where I've learned to thrive in dynamic environments and develop solutions to challenges. I have successfully completed a combined total of 305 hours of counselling practicum and internship training, deepening my understanding in mental health and human behaviours. As a counsellor trainee, I have continued to refine my ability to support individuals holistically, integrating my past experiences with new knowledge to meet the unique needs of clients. Looking ahead, my ultimate goal is to leverage this blend of experiences to make positive contribution both in individual development and organizational settings. I am particularly interested in fostering social-emotional development, whether by supporting individuals in educational settings or contributing to the creation of positive, supportive workplace cultures.
