Specialized in fruit quality assessment, I hold a PhD in peach and apricot breeding, with most of the research focused on characterizing large germplasm collections for enhancing some internal fruit features. A genomic predictions-based selection model was implemented to assist and hopefully speed up the ongoing breeding programs for fruit acidity improvement.Biotechnologist driven by a strong interest in the genetic diversity enclosed in plant germplasm collections worldwide to meet the human consumption needs and enhance resilience to biotic and abiotic stresses in forthcoming years.Scientific researcher as I apply my patience and a commitment to deliver impactful results in response to fast-evolving and dynamic challenges.
