About Iris Egner

Passionate about improving lives through innovative healthcare solutions, I have dedicated my career to working on projects that drive positive change, whether in personalized medicine, digital health, or clinical research. With extensive experience managing complex, high-impact initiatives, I have had the privilege of leading projects such as- The Welsh arm of the Genome Project - i2TRON, a translational doctoral training unit with 20 PhD positions - EATRIS, a Horizon 2020-funded research infrastructure (Luxembourg country coordination)- PPMI 2.0, a Parkinson’s disease study sponsored by the Michael J. Fox Foundation (Austrian site) In addition to my work in healthcare, I am deeply committed to ethical practices, equality, environmental sustainability, and overcoming challenges in access to health care. I believe we have the resources to tackle some of the most pressing issues of our time, and that collaboration across diverse stakeholders is key to driving meaningful change. To me, project success is 20% about management and 80% about communication. I thrive in environments where I can foster strong relationships, bring people together, and drive collective success. My diverse international experience has taught me the value of understanding different perspectives and adapting strategies to engage with varied cultures and stakeholders effectively.
