About Iris Hagemans
I am passionate about chemistry, biology and everything in between. I performed my PhD at the Department of Tumor Immunology, where I focused on multimodal imaging of immunological targets and photoimmunotherapy. After defending my PhD thesis, I gained experience working at Synaffix as a scientist. I recently started as a project coordinator for DARE-NL, a nation-wide initiative, where different academic medical centers will work together to bring gene therapy to the patient to treat cancer, and I where I will be involved in identification and validation of new technologies for CRISPR/Cas9 and non-viral transfection procedures as a postdoctoral researcher. In my spare time you'll find me pursuing photography, going on walks in the forest, camping and hiking and spending time with family and friends.
