About Iris Maruska

Dr. Maruska practices conventional primary and urgent care. Her approach is to use the most up to date and evidence based approach to treating her patients. She does use some integrative approaches to obfuscate the side effects or strengthen other treatments. Dr. Maruska understands most, if not all, people are not text books, and what works for one person may not work for the next. Two of the most important components of her practice are active listening and empathy, because a doctor's office is safe place where patients should feel heard and supported. Therefore, she is a strong advocate for patients being part of the medical decision making process and to speak out about barriers they may have in their life that would derail their treatment.
