About Irma Hoekstra
From early on, I was very studious and curious about the reasons behind everything that happened around me. Ever since I started primary school, I expressed a big interest in the beta-subjects. Combined with my interests in the human body, this eventually led to the choice of my bachelor being Pharmaceutical sciences. In july 2021 I obtained my master's degree in Drug Discovery and Safety at the VU university to broaden my knowledge about medicinal chemistry and contribute to drug development. In september 2021, midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to change course and started nursing school (HBO-Verpleegkunde) at InHolland University of Applied Sciences. With this, I hope to have a closer relationship to the patiënts and I hope to be personally accountable for the care for- and wellbeing of- care recipients. My core values in this are involvement, accessebility and harmony. I will always try to be the best possible version of myself and to offer a little more than others. I am all for testing my limits and wherever possible, pushing my boundaries
