About Isaac Pappas

As a skilled, evidence based, research-oriented, dedicated therapist, and current Psychology professor, family & individual therapist for over 18 years, I am prepared to substantially benefit our community, program, staff, and clients. One of my strengths is my ability to communicate and connect with all types of people and different levels of professionals. Being able to work with clients, psychiatric nurses, nurse practitioners, DCPP, legal officers, and family members has enabled me to be a highly effective, articulate communicator, and advocate for others. I have gained a great wealth of experience working with students, clients, officers, and administrative personnel which has taught me about myself, in return this has increased my interpersonal competency in order to better support others. I have learned to have personal awareness of my own angle when interacting with others in order to minimize any personal agenda. This I believe would be valuable in leading and helping others, as each of us brings their own personal and unique experiences into the therapeutic process. Therefore, it is my responsibility to empathize with those who approach me for assistance and clarity regarding work related affairs. I feel my knowledge and strengths that were developed in the clinical field can be easily transferred into any environment and families/ individuals that we will be serving. My natural desire to understand and help others has been a strong motivator in wanting to help others. this natural tendency has been evident to me and others around me even as a young child. It is who i am and allowed it to guide me to who i am today as a therapist, member of the community.
