I am a former United States Navy Fighter Pilot, that currently teaches flight crews how to operate the Boeing 737 for United Airlines. The F-18 combat missions, training missions, flight instructing, airshow performances, and sustained high performance has influenced me as an engineer, machine learning engineer, and data scientist. I bring the same passion and focus I had as a fighter pilot to capture the edge of being an engineer that delivers true innovation. Whether drilling unconventional wells, deep-water wells, or discovering how finite element analysis can be used as a risk mitigation tool, AI, data analytics, and data science have empowered me to develop solutions that are truly cutting edge and innovative. As a commercial airline Captain, I sought to explore more of the world, train others, and mentor them in pursuing their dreams with passion and excellence. Teaching others to develop their own excellence also pushes me to explore more, develop better code, and answer the call to develop the smartest machines that give organizations the competitive edge they need to compete and win.
