About Isabel A. Hemming
I am a motivated postdoctoral researcher passionate about uncovering and understanding the genetic basis of human brain development, neuronal degeneration, and the impact of genetic differences on the subsequent decline in neuronal function during ageing. I have a particular interest in using a range of biological assays and bioinformatic approaches to study the impact of genetic variability on neuronal cellular function. I recently completed my Ph.D. in March (Awarded July 2020) under the supervision of Professor Alistair Forrest, with co-supervision from Associate Professor Julian Heng, Professor Nigel Laing, and Doctor Mark Agostino.
