About Isabel Hughes

Izzi Hughes is a Hendersonville, NC native who at the age of nine began playing guitar in the midst of various musical theatre and acting classes at the Flat Rock Playhouse; including roles in several of their main stage plays. Upon turning twelve, she channeled all her time and energy into music, taking private lessons in acoustic/electric guitar, voice, and piano. In January of 2015, she went to Nashville, TN and recorded two original songs on music row with producer Dave Fowler. After winning Wild Wing Café’s (Asheville, NC location) Acoustic Throwdown competition in March of 2015, Izzi began performing as a solo artist. For the last seven years, Izzi has been making the rounds in WNC’s local music scene at breweries, vineyards, restaurants and more. This talented 23-year old packs her weekends with performances that deliver youthful energy and musical maturity. Her five-foot stature belies a powerful voice that continues to “wow” patrons of all ages, as does her eclectic mix of songs that remind audiences of the old ones they have forgotten, while putting a unique twist on the new ones of today. Izzi’s incredible talent and drive to succeed have shattered many misconceptions about her ability to professionally perform at such a young age. In fall of 2018, Izzi started school at Belmont University in Nashville, TN as a music business major with a production emphasis. When Izzi began performing at 15, she also had to learn the business side of the music industry, including booking performances, marketing herself through social media, and networking. While the education Izzi is receiving at Belmont University is remarkably helpful, there are many skills that can't be taught in a classroom setting. In January of 2022, Izzi accepted an internship with Odyssey Entertainment Group as an artist/influencer management intern. There, she has been able to take her experiences as a musician to help execute any task that's been given to her, as well as offer a unique perspective having been on the other side of the table. In May of 2022, Izzi graduated with a BBA and immediately started working at a Regional Entertainment Agent for ABE Agency specializing in the Southeast Territories. This was yet another role where Izzi was able to utilize her knowledge as a musician and of the music industry in the Carolina's. Izzi brings her own experiences as both a musician and a business woman into any job that she receives, but she is also a quick learner and an even harder worker.
