About Isabel Jones

I am currently a Junior at Brigham Young University, where I am in the communication studies program. I am minoring in psychology as well. Psychology also can give me further insight into why people act the way that they do, which allows me to communicate effectively. Two of my passions are working with refugees and with children. All three of my first jobs revolved around the well-being of children. This, by extension, made me understand how many children need help in the case of food, health, learning even role models. I have assisted in the creation of backpack kits for the first day of school, daycare for children in need, and food for children afterschool who did not have enough at home. As I learned about the world, refugees became another group of people that I am passionate about. I have been involved in the mentorship of Hazara refugees, creation of blankets and toys for refugee children, and assisting with the refugee branch or the organization called Lutheran Services of the Carolinas.
