About Isabel Liu

l am currently a Dietetic Intern through Cal Poly Pomona rotating at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, CA. My rotations include: clinicals 1, 2, and 3, budget, pediatrics, clinical staff relief, pediatric community, food service management, administration, school food service, Head Start, public health, and outpatient counseling. I am also enrolled in the California Polytechnic State University, Pomona Certification Program for Dietetics and aim to take the RD exam in June 2026. I have graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Master of Science degree in Nutritional Science in May 2025 and in Fall 2023 graduated with Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science & Dietetics at the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) with Summa Cum Laude. While at this university, I was highly active in our school’s SDA, which is an active, student-led organization that helps students in our program connect with nutrition professionals, learn about volunteer opportunities, conduct seminars, publish our online student magazine (Eatatorial), and assist students with their DICAS application through our workshop. I was first the Events and Activities Coordinator, moved to Fundraising Chair, and then became SDA President. Within five years, I want to be a registered dietitian and working with women, infants, and children in a clinical and patient-based setting, or working in the hospital (inpatient or outpatient).
