About Isabel Sinnott

I am an enthusiastic, determined and hard-working graduate of BSc Marketing, Innovation and Technology at DCU. My four-year degree included a 12 month internship where I worked as a corporate communications intern at Science Foundation Ireland. I have successfully completed my degree, achieving a 2:1 grade overall.During my time at Science Foundation Ireland I gained invaluable knowledge regarding the world of digital marketing. I further developed my social media skills through assisting the management of company social media accounts and learned to navigate Roxen CMS, software for website design. ‘Creating Our Future’, the national government campaign, was a major focus during my placement where I contributed to content creation and raising awareness. As a part-time waitress, I developed my communication skills by interacting with both customers and colleagues. Teamwork was also a vital part of my role as I worked cross-functionally to keep the business running smoothly. I value working with people and understand the importance of being a good listener, to build strong relationships and be an effective problem solver. Working part-time for my family’s business, I have developed many skills - IT skills, using various software, and financial skills through managing orders, accounts and payments, to name a few. This job has taught me to be more responsible as I constantly take on new challenges.Through playing sports from a young age, namely being part of my local Gaelic football team, I am consistently developing skills in being an effective team player, and not being afraid to step up and be a leader when required. I continue to use these skills in my everyday life from completing group projects in college to solving any problems that arise in work. I am determined and ambitious and am always up for a challenge. I stay committed to any project I partake in and won’t give up until it’s completed, meanwhile making it as enjoyable as possible. I’m a perfectionist and always give it my all. As I’m a quick learner, I’m always ready to try something new!
