My experience providing differentiation to teach every student, collaborating with special educators and other staff, and creating a safe learning environment in my past classroom placements (through Endicott College) makes me a very strong candidate for a K-5 Elementary teacher role. I am licensed in Special Education and I am Sheltered English Immersion endorsed. My background, through my student teaching and special education internship, has provided me with extensive collaboration experience. My goal during student teaching was to learn how to co-teach. Through this, I was able to execute the co-teaching model from both the classroom teacher and the special educator perspective. I feel confident in my ability to co-teach. I am a very passionate and compassionate person and also have a strong interest in social and emotional learning. I pride myself on having a safe classroom environment that is based in the growth mindset. I think it is important that each student feels comfortable sharing with and learning from others!
