About Isabel Torres

For the past five years I have served as a volunteer for various events promoting women's health in our community. I have also been employed by a local school district for the past two years working with children in an after-school program. In this last semester, I have also had the opportunity to intern with one of the most historical Basilicas in the United States, Basilica of the Little Flower. Serving as a volunteer, working part-time, interning and attending school has instilled in me a great sense responsibility and commitment. I have some of my best attributes that have benefited me in the past and my personal life. Beginning with my commitment to education, I have made the Dean's list twice for my academic achievement. My goal after graduation is to seek full-time employment in the field of Human Resources where I can apply my knowledge and skills. My involvement in volunteering and my internship at the Basilica, has taught me how to empathize and how to be a leader in the community. These are skills that I would like to share and utilize through out my career.
