About Isabella Wise

As a survivor of gang violence and a former foster youth, my lived experiences have shaped my journey and fueled my commitment to advocacy, healing, and transformation. I stand as a voice for youth in foster care and survivors of violence—working every day to support victims of crime, break down barriers, and build safe, supportive environments for all young people. Currently, I serve as both a therapist and community outreach advocate. In the therapeutic space, I work with clients ranging from children as young as five to older adults, helping them process trauma and develop emotional resilience. On the community side, I lead gang violence prevention and harm reduction efforts, coordinating intervention programs and uniting neighborhoods to disrupt cycles of violence. Now, as a Doctorate of Social Work candidate, my mission is to identify systemic solutions to violence and implement evidence-based strategies that promote healthy development for youth. I bring over a decade of experience in trauma-informed care, youth development, curriculum design, and strategic partnership. Through my work, I’ve successfully designed and piloted programs that secured funding—demonstrating my ability to transform both lives and systems. I am passionate about using my voice, skills, and story to ensure that every young person has access to the resources, relationships, and opportunities they deserve.
