From Jan 2019 to Jan 2021 I completed a Marketing Graduate programme at City of Wolverhampton College and enjoyed learning about things such as: SEO, social media and events to name a few. During my time as a features writer at HotSpot Media from May 2017 - August 2018, I developed stories for women's magazines, both UK based and international. Each day I would research, pitch and write original real life features for women's magazines. I wrote about multiple genres including sensitive subjects such as domestic violence, and light hearted pieces surrounding weight loss and body confidence. I have been featured in multiple publications including, but not limited to: Bella, Best, Take a Break, Chat and the Sun. I am easily able to adapt my writing to suit different house styles. I graduated in 2016 from the University of Gloucestershire with a 2:1 in Journalism. I received an award for 'Contribution to the Journalism Course' which represents the hard work I put in during my time at university. I completed my NCTJ course at City of Wolverhampton College immediately after graduating university. I was trained in multiple disciplines including: Media Law, Public Affairs and Teeline Shorthand. I completed a work experience programme where I attended the Express and Star one day a week for 10 weeks to further my skills in a professional environment. I reported on court cases, council meetings and developing violent crime stories directly from the scene. My skills as a journalist have been expanded upon during my various work placements. I spent time at ITV Central where I helped to put together a package that was used on the evening news. I have been published in the Gloucestershire Echo and the Express and Star.
