About Isabelle Laplace

Holding a PhD in Economics with a specialization in aeronautics, I currently serve as co-head of the Prospective Division at ENAC, after spending nine years as head of the Sustainable Air Transport research program. Within this prospective diviqion, which focuses on issues of sustainability, safety, and other societal challenges in air transport, my role is twofold: to improve the integration of teaching related to the environmental and societal transition of air transport across all ENAC programs (engineers, air traffic controllers, pilots, technicians, etc.), and to conduct research activities. My research topics range from understanding and modeling the end-to-end multimodal travel experience of air passengers, to assessing the effects of changes in environmental policies or technological innovations on industry strategies and the resulting pollution levels. I also work on the social perceptions of air transport as well as on methods that could support the co-construction of its future. I am also a member of the Steering Committee of the Institute for Sustainable Aviation (ISA).
