Through my legal background, my attention to details, my problem-solving mindset, I am particularly strong at dealing with complex, technical queries, and finding suitable solutions, as well as assessing the financial risks and implications. I am commercially aware and pragmatic, and I look for the best way to achieve the desired result for the ultimate benefit of my clients. As a legal professional I love the challenge of finding an innovative solution to what seems to be a tricky problem. As a consultant I enjoy supporting my clients in achieving their business objectives. And when things go wrong, I will be there representing in the Employment Tribunal every step of the way (no I don't delegate the advocacy part, it's the best bit!). I favour a down to earth straight talking approach. Nothing is ever that complex that it must be communicated using obtuse jargon or terminology. I am here to give simple solutions to complex problems. I build incredibly positive relationships with my clients as I genuinely enjoy supporting them. I am here to empower and support. I work very hard to deliver above expectations and I don't take anything for granted. I love my job and the variety of work and challenges it gives me but I never forget that I am there for my clients and for my team. Alongside my day to day role I very much enjoy my position as a Family Law Magistrate, which I take great pride in. It is an incredible privilege to be part of this essential institution. Finally I am a trustee for the Halton Citizens Advice Bureau, an organisation very close to my heart and indeed which supported my beginnings. It's my way of doing what I can (even if it's not a great deal) to support a fantastic charity doing really valuable work on a day to day basis, providing guidance and resources to people who would either not know where or how to access it, or have the funds to get it.
