Background

About Isaiah Chavez

I’m a recent graduate from California State University, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, specializing in cybersecurity, risk management, and data systems. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I've built a strong foundation in information security, system development, and compliance, fueled by hands-on experience in cybersecurity simulation labs and business continuity planning. In Spring 2024, I contributed to a Harvard Business Case internship, where I developed a Business Impact Assessment (BIA), Security Risk Assessment, and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for Tyson Foods Inc. I also led security planning projects, including PCI DSS reviews and risk frameworks for simulated enterprise environments. Beyond tech, I bring leadership and coaching skills as an esports coach for a high school district. I’ve coached competitive teams, developed strategies, and fostered communication, resilience, and performance among student-athletes, bridging the gap between discipline and digital competition. I’m passionate about cybersecurity, infrastructure security, and helping organizations build safe, scalable systems. Whether I’m protecting digital assets or mentoring a team, I strive to bring professionalism, adaptability, and a strong work ethic to every challenge.
