About Isaiah Robles

My name is Isaiah and I currently a Cyber Defense Engineer for PayPal. Part of my work consists of continuously monitor and analyze our organization's computer networks, systems, and applications for potential security threats and incidents. My role involves utilizing diverse sophisticated tools and techniques to detect and investigate security breaches, respond to incidents, and develop comprehensive strategies to mitigate the risk of future attacks. In particular, my expertise lies in leveraging various cyber security tools and platforms such as firewall logs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions. I use these tools to carry out tasks such as threat hunting of IOCs and IOAs, network observation and analysis, and deep analysis of network logging, errors, and traffic. My responsibilities also extend to gathering, analyzing, and communicating Threat Intelligence and Incident notifications to a broad range of stakeholders, including Network Engineers, System Administrators, Security Engineers, IT Managers, and Executive staff. By providing regular and accurate reports on the state of our security posture, I enable our organization to make informed decisions that keep us one step ahead of cyber threats. I am pursuing my CISSP certification to further enable my expertise in Information and Systems Security and bring my tools and skills to my organization.
