About Iscah Ho

Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Advanced Health Care. I graduated from University of California San Diego (UCSD) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I furthered my studies at Bethel Seminary San Diego where I received a Master of Arts degree in Marital and Family Therapy. ​ I have experience providing therapeutic services in a wide range of clinical settings. I began my clinical training at San Diego Rescue Mission and Alvarado Parkway Institute. I provided individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy in residential and psychiatric inpatient settings to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and dual diagnosis. Upon graduation, I worked as a program therapist at Union of Pan Asian Communities’ Children and Adolescent Mental Health Program (UPAC CMH). I provided school and community based psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and transitional age youth with a wide range of mood disorders and behavioral problems. At UPAC, I also provided diagnostic screening, biopsychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, as well as case management services. I deeply value the importance of creating a compassionate safe space as I walk with my clients so they can experience healing and transformative change in their lives. In my clinical work, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). To better support clients, I have completed the following trainings over the past few years: • Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy Level 1 • Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy Level 2 • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy • Prepare/Enrich I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem/identity development, stress management, interpersonal issues, and Asian American experiences. With my training and knowledge in the behavioral and mental health field, I am passionate in using my toolbox to customize an approach that best fits the client's unique needs and goals.
