About Isha Rymenans
With a background in Audiology and Health Care Management and Policy, I started a PhD trajectory in 2021 at KU Leuven researching work disability and reintegration. In January 2025 I obtained my PhD in Biomedical Sciences, during which we developed and evaluated a communication training for health insurance practitioners, based on Motivational Interviewing and Self-Determination Theory. Currently, I am still working at the KU Leuven department of Work and Organisation Studies as a postdoctoral research assistant, supported by Kom op tegen Kanker. We are developing a tool for employers and supervisors to better communicate with, and inform and support their employees with cancer.
