About Ishaan Dali

I am a 'Zillennial' who was born in Nepal to a Nepalese father and an Indian mother. When I turned 15, I decided to leave Nepal to find myself. I have always loved technology ever since I was a child. One of my earliest memories was getting a Windows 95 PC as a birthday gift thanks to my parents when I was 3 or 4. My eyes have never left a screen since then. During my first internship, I was introduced to the world of Security and it was fascinating. DevSecOps was at a very nascent stage and I have seen how crucial it has become in today's world. You simply cannot build/release insecure software and expect customers to be okay with it. At BMC Software, I was fortunate enough to be one of the initial members responsible for building a DevSecOps program for a massive enterprise software company. Some of my major accomplishments have been - To Shift Security left in the SDLC using SCA and SAST tools through automation at a large scale - To build a public Trust Center for Security, Privacy and Compliance for BMC Software - To drive the incident response across BMC Software for Log4Shell and SpringShell - To promote and guide developers to implement secure coding standards - To organize an internal security conference attended by 700+ participants - To identify gaps in our product security program and build a mature product security program I take every day as a new day in the world of security and it is exciting. Currently, I love working on new initiatives to build the best product security program possible!
