As an HR intern in a manufacturing industry you can expect a diverse and dynamic experience such as- Screening and interviewing: helped screen resumes schedule interviews and participate in the interview process. also Onboarding: Support the onboarding process for new hires including preparing orientation materials coordinating training sessions and ensuring compliance with company policies. I also learned that communication and Engagement assist and act as a liaison between management and employees helping to address and resolve workplace issues and concerns. I learned about compliance and safety in that Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations including health and safety standards and also we had done training sessions in between the working hours to teach and maintain safety records. I helped in administrative support like documentation Manages and update employee records handle HR-related documentation and maintain HR databases. also learned about performance management and how to boost up employees and labour working for the company by appraisals and development plans. Appraisals Support the performance appraisal process by collecting feedback scheduling review meetings and assisting in the documentation of performance evaluations. development plans Help create and implement individual development plans for employees. also gave assistance in payroll by processing ensuring accuracy and timeliness and also helped labour maintain record of their salaries and PF. I liked working in this type of environment as there was a diverse work force in the firm we can learn so much by meeting and assisting diverse group of people each with unique needs and concerns can be challenging but also rewarding. CONCLUSION: An HR internship in the manufacturing industry provides a well-rounded experience offering exposure to various HR functions and the opportunity to develop valuable skills. It is an excellent stepping stone for a career in human resources providing insights into the unique challenges and opportunities within the manufacturing sector.
