About Ishmael Benjamin

As the Director of Operations at Richardson Independent School District (RISD), I oversee the activities of the Operations Department and ensure the delivery of high-quality custodial support services across all campuses. I have more than 15 years of experience in the education sector, with a Master's degree in Human Resource Development. I am passionate about improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and safety of the operations processes, as well as fostering a positive and collaborative work culture among the staff. I have successfully implemented quality assurance programs, budget management, procurement, recruitment, retention, performance management, training, and development initiatives. I have also been a change agent who guides programs and initiatives to advance the goals, requirements, and standards of RISD. I am always eager to learn from and partner with diverse departments and community groups, and to empower my team to develop and implement new ideas.
