About Ishola Adeyemo

It's not how you begin that matters, but how you end. You can invent your tomorrow by making changes today. Getting a quality education a developing country can be very difficult and challenging. Even more so studying to become a doctor. Only a privileged few get to do that. However with meager resources but with the principles instilled in me by my guardian sister and parents, I became a doctor- a dream come true. But I soon nursed a bigger dream- to come to the US to not only give myself and my children a better future, but to have the opportunity and capacity to help my people back home and to payback to my family for their sacrifice.Starting a medical career in the US as a foreigner from a developing country is froth with so many obstacles. I had to start from ground zero all over again. But with God's grace and support from my wife, I passed through the huddles to become board certified in Obstetrics and gynecology which I have been with 11 years experience. I have dedicated these years to the care of Brooklyn's underserved and disadvantaged communities through various aspects of Obstetrical and Obstetrical care and infertility. I have been advocating for my patients in areas of health disparity, inequality and reproductive justice which I am very passionate about.As an academician, I have helped produce young doctors, nurses, midwives, nurse practitioners, medical assistants and other healthcare professionals who are working all over the country.I have also had the privilege of sitting in various management, safety, quality assurance and other leadership committees both within and outside the hospital. In my free time, I enjoy mentoring young men and women in spiritual and personal development as well as entrepreneurship. The aim of the mentorship is to help them to be masters of their own destiny through financial freedom. I am so excited and grateful to belong to a community of coaches and mentors who have achieved success through this mentorship. I hope my story will inspire one or two people to chase their dreams believing that all things are possible.
