About Isla Weir

While working as a Senior Bid Writer for Pennington Choices, I have developed excellent project management and time management skills. I am able to manage the entire bid process, end-to-end, from opportunity awareness through to submission. I produce clear, concise, tailored responses, informed by the technical knowledge of our inhouse experts. I am accustomed to liaising effectively with our operational managers to obtain pertinent information and have developed processes to increase bid efficiency and reduce dependence on our busy operational managers. Over the last two years, I have focused on the management/delivery of our fire safety bids. To enhance my writing and ensure I produce consistently accurate, high quality responses, I have completed a level three qualification in fire risk assessment and attend monthly fire safety CPD sessions with our inhouse fire safety team. This has allowed me to further reduce my dependence on our Head of Fire Safety for key bid information; sharpen my understanding of current fire safety legislation; and gain a comprehensive understanding of current fire safety property compliance and assessor competency requirements.
