About Itaco Morello

Born in 1991, from Varese (Italy). I am determined to reach my goals, precise and I enjoy competitive environments. I like to work in a team as I think it is the most profitable way to identify and solve problems. I always try to learn from the others while making my knowledge and skills at disposal. I am passionate about motorsports and engineering and these two drove me to enroll to Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. During the last months of my Bachelor degree I attended a training programme in “Racing Motorcycle Engineering”, held by bike-motorsport experts having at least a decade of experience in racing. In 2016 I decided to get involved into the university MotoStudent team “Polimi Motorcycle Factory”, while attending my M.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering, where I held the roles of Racetrack Engineer and Report Supervisor for the Powertrain Department. In October 2018 I attended as official member of the team to the final phase of MotoStudent V, held in Motorland Aragòn (Spain), and I have joined the Team Leader in presenting our project in front of the examining jury. In the same occasion, as Polimi Motorcycle Factory, we managed to win the race and the whole competition, obtaining the acknowledgement of “Best MotoStudent 2018” for the Petrol category. While completing the M.Sc, I started working in SWM-Motorcycles as R&D Engineer. On October 3rd 2019 I graduated in Aeronautical Engineering. I've worked from 2020 to 2025 in MV Agusta Motor as R&D Electronics Engineer, accountable for all the data acquisitions related to the Vehicle Development (temperatures, vehicle dynamics, suspensions development, etc.). Moreover, during 2024 I was also accountable for racing technical development and technical support for all the factory supported teams in World Supersport, Italian and American Supersport championships. Today I'm the R&D Manager in Braking, top-level Italian braking systems manufacturer. Racing-wise, it follows a brief summary- 2019 February-July: Racetrack Engineer in the Moto3 Italian championship- July 2019 - March 2020 RGR TM Racing Factory Team Racetrack Engineer both in the Italian championship and in the Junior World championship- 2020-2021 RGR Racing Team Crew Chief in the PreMoto3 Italian championship- 2022 MC Box Pedercini Electronic Engineer in SS300 and National Trophy 600 classes- 2023 Extreme Racing Service Crew Chief and Electronics Engineer in the National Trophy 600 class (MV Agusta F3 675)- 2024-2025 Extreme Racing Service Crew Chief in the Supersport Next Generation Italian championship (F3 800 RR).
