About Itai Bercovier

I have a particular interest in finding solutions that could ease the interaction between humans and computers in existing and emerging technologies, for example conversation AI interface, VR, and AR. I have experience working with large organisations, including Google, Shell Energy, Sky, M&S and L'Oréal on UX and conversation design. Recently I've worked on numerous chat and voice bots, developed training materials, acted as a keynote speaker, delivered design sprints, and facilitated workshops. I hold an MSc in HCI. Previously, I led a successful Web Development degree programme and played an integral role, both in the UK and Europe, in the development and validation of multiple undergraduate degree programmes. This included chairing an international academic committee, managing academic departments, coordinating outreach, and overseeing students’ personal and professional development. At this point in my career, I’m keen to apply my existing professional skills and knowledge to new areas, with the aim to diversify my acquired working experience with exciting new challenges and opportunities for both personal and professional growth and development. Professional Skills Key skills include: Conversation design; UX and HCI; Team management (both local management and international team coordination); CSS, HTML languages and the semantic web; Project support and supervision; Curriculum development; Lecture planning, preparation and delivery; Teaching quality assurance and review; Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Localisation; Presenting, lecturing and public speaking; Microsoft Office, some design experience utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; Comfortable working with both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X; General transferable skills developed throughout my career include multi-tasking, team management and coordination, negotiation diplomacy, general office administration and public speaking in 3 languages.
